Lincoln Financial is seeking Short Term Disability Claims Specialists to join its growing remote claims team. In this role, you’ll manage disability claims by reviewing medical documentation, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring timely, fair decisions. Responsibilities

  • Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical providers to gather essential claim information
  • Collaborate with nurse case managers and consulting physicians for timely decisions
  • Review complex medical documentation to determine claim outcomes
  • Calculate accurate financial benefits in accordance with policy and state guidelines
  • Deliver high-quality customer service while identifying opportunities to improve support

Qualification

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of experience in claims, leaves administration, or customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment
  • Experience with disability/absence management and strong math skills are a plus
